Beyoncé Leads Female Nominees In 2024 People’s Choice Country Awards

Nominations for the 2024 People’s Choice Country Awards have been announced, with Beyoncé being the top female artist named on the list.

Beyoncé’s Cowboy Carter is competing for Album of 2024, together with Shaboozey’s newest album, Where I’ve Been, Isn’t Where I’m Going

The talented female singer also features in categories including People’s Artist of 2024, The Female Artist of 2024, The Social Country Star of 2024 categories, and The Female Song of 2024 for 16 Carriages.

The Cover Song of 2024 has Beyoncé’s Blackbiird and other competitors, with the singer featuring in the The Storyteller Song of 2024 category also.

Both Texas Hold Em and Shaboozey’s A Bar Song (Tipsy) are competing for Song of 2024. In all, Shaboozey has 12 nominations, while other artistes like Post Malone feature in the crossover song category.

Artiste, Zach Bryan is the highest nominee, appearing in 19 categories, while Queen Bey has 17 nominations. Voting for the 2024 People’s Choice Country Awards will end on Friday, August 23, 2024.

The main ceremony will air live on September 26, 2024, at 8 p.m. on NBC TV, with legendary country star Shania Twain serving as host. 

In April this year, Beyoncé made history with her new album, Cowboy Carter, as the album debuts at No. 1 on Billboard’s Top Country Albums list.

Since the list’s inception in January 1964, the Halo hitmaker has become the first black woman to hold the top spot.

Additionally, Beyoncé made history by being the first female to simultaneously occupy the top three slots in the poll when three of the set’s tracks debuted at Nos. 1, 2, and 3 on the Hot Country Tracks list.
