Beyoncé and The Weeknd have announced significant delays to their upcoming projects. The entertainment world is grappling with the devastating wildfires sweeping through Los Angeles.
The fires, which erupted last week, have already claimed the lives of 24 people and destroyed thousands of homes, including Jhene Aiko’s house, schools, and businesses, with the death toll expected to rise. As a result, both stars have chosen to put their plans on hold out of respect for the ongoing crisis.
Beyoncé, who was set to make a major announcement on January 14, had fans speculating about a possible album drop or a new tour.
However, the singer informed her followers on Instagram that the reveal would be postponed until the fires subsided. In her message, she expressed her sorrow for the lives affected by the flames and praised the first responders working tirelessly to protect the Los Angeles community.
In a similar move, The Weeknd revealed that he would be pushing back the release of his upcoming album Hurry Up Tomorrow, originally slated for January 24.
