The BBC has announced a new documentary titled P Diddy: The Rise and Fall, set to air on April 28. The film will explore Sean “Diddy” Combs’ journey to fame and the legal issues that now surround him.

It will also examine how the entertainment industry may have protected him over the years.

The documentary will be hosted by British journalist Yinka Bokinni, who will speak to people close to Diddy to help piece together what has happened in the past year.

The documentary aims to give viewers a deeper look into the allegations Diddy is currently facing and the impact they are having on the music world.

My job is to tell stories—but never did I imagine I’d be telling this one. Investigating the alleged actions of Diddy has forced a spotlight onto the darker side of an industry so many of us dream of belonging to,” Yinka Bokinni said.

According to the BBC, the film will cover how Diddy built his career, the influence he had on music and culture, and the serious claims that have now surfaced.

It will also touch on how fans once embraced his lifestyle and music, and how public perception has changed.

Diddy is currently being held at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn as he awaits trial for sex trafficking and other related charges.

His legal team recently asked for more time before the trial begins, due to new charges being added to the case. The request was denied, and jury selection is now scheduled for May 5. Opening statements are expected to start on May 12.

A courtroom sketch from Diddy’s recent appearance has also drawn attention. With no cameras allowed in the room, the sketch showed him with grey, messy hair and a matching beard.

He also appeared thinner than usual, raising questions about his health while in custody. Diddy and his legal team have not commented on his current condition.

The upcoming documentary is expected to be emotional and intense, offering a closer look at a case that has shaken the entertainment world.
