Baka Not Nice, a longtime member of OVO, has seemingly responded to a diss from Kendrick Lamar to Drake.

The Compton rapper’s track Not Like Us accuses Baka of having a “weird case,” referring to a 2015 incident where Baka pleaded guilty to assaulting a woman and was sentenced to six months in jail. An additional charge of forcing the woman into prostitution was dropped when she refused to testify.

Baka appeared to address the situation, sharing a picture of himself on his Instagram Story with a caption that read:

“I stay with intelligent people. I’m not a follower. You can’t lead me to no slaughter. Men lie, women lie, but paperwork can’t.”

Lamar’s song also mentions other OVO members, including Chubbs and Party. He questions why Baka, with his controversial past, is still around.

In response to these remarks, Drake released The Heart Part 6 a day after Lamar’s track. In it, he expresses his disgust and respectability, stating that he would have been arrested if he were guilty of such accusations.

The weeks following this chaotic weekend, during which both artists dropped several diss tracks, have been marked by silence.

The feud between Canadian rapper Drake and American rapper Kendrick Lamar has been ongoing since the early 2010s. Their first collaboration was in 2011, on Drake’s album “Take Care”, with another collaboration a year later on Lamar’s album “Good Kid, M.A.A.D City”.

The tension escalated when Lamar dissed Drake and several other rappers on the 2013 song “Control” by Big Sean. Lamar later clarified that his verse was intended to be seen as “friendly competition”. However, Drake took it differently, leading to further escalation in 2024.
