Ari Lennox has officially parted ways with Dreamville Records. According to a report by TMZ, the singer is no longer signed to the label and will now release her music solely through Interscope Records.

The news follows months of tension between Lennox and Dreamville. In October 2024, she went on social media to express her frustrations with the label.

She said she felt ignored, disrespected, and tired of being treated like a symbol for mental health instead of an artist.

“I’m so tired. Where do I fucking start? My heart’s beating so fast,” she wrote on social media.

She also said she had asked management not to release a video for her song Smoke, but it was still put out.

She explained that the video was meant to take control of her narrative, but the release felt forced and misunderstood.

At the time, many fans took her comments as a sign she was ready to leave the label. Now, her latest single, Soft Girl Era, lists only Interscope as the releasing label, confirming that she has made the move.

Lennox, Dreamville, and J. Cole have not publicly commented on the split.

The singer joined Dreamville in 2015 and found success with her debut album, Shea Butter Baby, released in 2019. The project helped her gain a strong fan base and respect in the R&B scene.

Despite her growth under the label, Lennox has made it clear in the past that she wanted more control over her career. Her departure suggests she is now taking that step.

The switch to Interscope may give her the freedom she has been asking for. So far, she has stayed quiet about the details of the new deal or what fans should expect next.
