Legendary West Coast rapper Snoop Dogg has recently showcased his impressive physical fitness. He ran a 200-meter sprint during Team USA’s Summer Olympics track and field trials.
The event in Eugene, Oregon, saw Snoop don a red, white, and blue outfit, complete with a Kobe Bryant shirt, as he sprinted down the track.
NBC, the official broadcaster for the Olympics in the U.S., shared a video on X (formerly Twitter) on Sunday, June 23, capturing Snoop’s sprint.
The clip shows him giving his all as he crosses the finish line. Snoop, now 52 years old, completed the dash in an impressive 34.44 seconds, which pleased him with his performance.
Snoop Dogg to join NBC’s Olympics Games coverage
Earlier this year, it was announced that Snoop Dogg would join NBCUniversal’s coverage of the 2024 Olympic Summer Games in Paris.
According to the Hollywood Reporter, Snoop Dogg will team up with NBC Olympics host Mike Tirico to provide unique insights into the events.
His role will also include exploring Paris’s iconic landmarks, attending Olympic competitions, and interacting with athletes, their friends, and families.
Snoop expressed his enthusiasm, sharing that he has always enjoyed watching the Olympics and is excited to witness the athletes’ dedication and skill in Paris.
He promised to bring his distinctive style to the coverage, aiming to make the games an unforgettable experience for viewers.
Snoop’s recent sprint is not the only indicator of his dedication to fitness. In February, he shared a photo on Instagram of himself flexing his bicep while working out in an indoor basketball gym.
The image, showcasing his commitment to staying in shape, received an outpouring of support and admiration from his followers, including some well-known figures in the rap community.
