Canadian rapper Drake has found himself in the crosshairs of fellow artists on Future and Metro Boomin’s new album, We Still Don’t Trust You.
The album, which follows their previous release, “We Don’t Trust You”, seems to continue the trend of taking shots at the Canadian superstar.
Kendrick Lamar and Future notably dissed Drake on their previous album three weeks ago. The follow-up appears to be just as loaded, with A$AP Rocky and The Weeknd also seemingly aiming for Drake.
One of the standout tracks, Show of Hands, features A$AP Rocky, who appears to rap about having a relationship with Sophie Brussaux, the mother of Drake’s son, Adonis. This comes after months of Drake allegedly baiting the Harlem rapper over his relationship with Rihanna, whom Drake was once rumored to have been involved with.
Sophie Brussaux, who is referenced as a former adult film actress turned painter, was first linked to Drake in January 2017. They were photographed together in Amsterdam during Drake’s Boy Meets World tour. In May 2017, Sophie claimed she was pregnant with Drake’s child, which Drake initially disputed. However, their son Adonis was born in October 2017.
The tension between Drake and A$AP Rocky has escalated, with Drake’s alleged jabs at Rocky’s relationship with Rihanna fueling the fire. Now, with Rocky’s verse on “Show of Hands”, it seems the rapper is hitting back.
The album “We Still Don’t Trust You” is quickly becoming a hot topic in the music industry for its musical prowess and the drama it’s stirring up. As the artists continue to express their distrust and disapproval of Drake, fans and critics alike are eager to see how the Canadian hitmaker will respond.
