A Look At Every Hip-Hop Diss Track Released So Far In 2024

2024 will undoubtedly be remembered as the year that beef took over the world of hip-hop because in just five months, many artistes have dropped scathing creations aimed at others/

Beginning with the song Doomsday Pt. 2, Eminem made a point of bashing Benzino which drove the latter to respond.

Megan Thee Stallion attacked Nicki Minaj in her song Hiss, which incited the vicious response Big Foot

However, what ignited what some are calling the greatest battle in hip-hop history was Kendrick Lamar’s verse on Like That, the project by Future and Metro Boomin.

The battle traveled through the hip-hop scene with everyone getting involved.

Given the ceasefire, we are taking a look at every single diss track that hip-hop artistes have dropped in 2024 so far. 

Megan Thee Stallion: Hiss

Megan Thee Stallion entered the diss track scene in 2024 before any other MC.  And it seems Megan didn’t hold back on this song, hitting aim at Drake and Nicki Minaj on her upbeat tune.

Nicki Minaj: Big Foot

Nicki Minaj retaliated with her song “Big Foot,” which mocks the Houston rapper getting shot in the foot by Tory Lanez and the tragic death of her mother.”

Future & Metro Boomin (feat. Kendrick Lamar): Like That

This is the song that ignited what could have been described as the 3rd World War, but in the world of hip-hop.

J. Cole: 7 Minute Drill

J. Cole was the first MC to react to K-Dot’s fiery stanza on “Like That”. Despite the tracks negative reviews,

Cole’s return was well-received by fans, which may have contributed to his subsequent apology and the removal of the song from streaming services.

Drake: Push Ups

Drake, Kendrick’s primary rival, was the first to record a legitimate diss tune. Drake mocks Dot’s shoe size, saying his management and label are extorting him.

In addition, he criticizes a wide range of other musicians, such as Future, Rick Ross, The Weeknd, and Metro Boomin. 

Rick Ross: Champagne Moments

Drake, Kendrick’s primary rival, was the first to drop a legitimate diss single.

Suggesting Kendrick’s management and label are extorting him while making fun of his shoe size.

He also criticizes a wide range of other musicians, including Future, Rick Ross, The Weeknd, and Metro Boomin. 

Drake: TaylorMade Freestyle

This was a contentious hip-hop song where Drake impersonated 2Pac and Snoop Dogg using artificial intelligence.

Drake was however compelled by the Shakur estate for the track to be remove from social media. 

Kanye West: Like That (Remix)

Remixing Future and Metro Boomin’s popular song, Kanye West decided to butt in and participate in the “elimination of Drake” by making a diss track in which he criticizes J. Cole and Drizzy. 

Kendrick Lamar: Euphoria

Euphoria was the first fully-fledged diss tune by Kendrick Lamar.

The Compton MC devoted six hours to dissecting Drake’s entire demeanor, stating, among other things, that he prefers to create music to act tough. 

Kendrick Lamar: 6:16 in LA

Kendrick released back-to-back just a few days after dropping “Euphoria,” calling after Drake’s well-liked timed records and even suggesting that Drake’s squad may have a mole providing him information. 

Drake: Buried Alive (parody)

In “Buried Alive,”  Drake released a spoof of Kendrick Lamar’s song “Buried Alive Interlude,” as a preamble to “Family Matters.”

Drake: Family Matters

In this song, Drake unleashed his fury on Kendrick, accusing him of abusing his partner Whitney Alford, and saying that one of his children is not his.

Kendrick Lamar: Meet the Grahams

Kendrick unleashes his vilification of Aubrey Graham on Drake’s son, mother, father, and a “daughter he claimed the Toronto rapper is hiding” 

Kendrick Lamar: Not Like Us

In “Not Like Us” Kendrick wrote an anthem encouraging people worldwide to denounce Drake as a pedophile and colonizer. 

Drake: The Heart Part 6

In “The Heart, Part 6″, Drake sticks to his assertion that one of K-Dot’s children is not his to refute the pedophile charges. 

The Game: Freeway’s Revenge

The game also made a diss track directed at Rick Ross to get away from the chaos surrounding the Kendrick Lamar and Drake feud.

King Combs: Pick A Side

King Combs, Diddy’s son, was the last one to release the song “Pick a Side,”.

In the track, he criticizes everyone who despises his father most notably Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson.
