St. Louis-born producer Metro Boomin has added a cash prize to his BBL Drizzy Beat Giveaway contest against Drake.
The contest, first announced on SoundCloud, involves fans adding vocals over an instrumental track featuring a sped-up sample of a woman singing BBL Drizzy.
The contest was initially set up in response to Drake’s diss against Kendrick Lamar on the track Family Matters. In addition to the free beat for the winner, Metro has now included a cash prize of $10,000 and a beat for the runner-up.
Metro Boomin, known for his work as a Superhero producer, has also responded to Drake’s allegations in his songs. He dismissed the claims as laughable and defended his loved ones, stating that no one had ever been involved with his girlfriend.
In a further twist, Metro shared evidence of his adversary trying to prevent the track “Like That” from receiving airplay. This track, a collaboration between Future and Metro, ignited the drama back in March.
Metro concluded his series of posts by challenging Drake to make another song, hinting at more lies. He suggested that neither would benefit from revealing why they are at odds and decided to spare them from further drama.
Metro Boomin is not the only one beefing with Drake. The feud between Drake and Kendrick Lamar reignited in March 2024 after the release of Like That by Future and Metro Boomin, featuring Lamar.
