Jamaican songstress, Shenseea, will unveil her second studio album this month, May 24, 2024, with a host of artistes including Afrobeats powerhouse, Wizkid.
The multi-talented diva recently posted the tracklist and official cover of the 14-track project titled Never Gets Late Here which attracted lots of reactions from her fans.
Fans have been asked to pre-save the upcoming album which has Wizkid the song titled Work Me Out. Apart from Shenseea’s previously released single Hit and Run, other songs on the album include Die For You, Keep a Place, Dolla, Loyalty, Flava, Red Flag, Heaven on Earth.
Following massive endorsement for Shenseea over the years, the upcoming album is expected to make a lasting impression on her numerous fans worldwide.
A few days after announcing the album, Shenseea posted on her timeline, saying she wants to “win a Reggae Grammy Award.” The Never Gets Late Here album follows her recent single titled Neva Neva.
The 27-year-old is known for her sensual rendition titled Lick which features Meghan Thee Stallion, and other singles like Talk Truth and Beama.
In March 2022, Shenseea released her debut album titled Alpha, under the record label Rich Immigrants, Interscope. The production had guest appearances including Tyga, Offset, Sean Paul, and Beenie Man, and reached No. 2 on the Billboard Reggae Albums Chart, in addition to other recognitions.
In 2023, she won the NAACP Image Awards for ‘Outstanding International Song’ for featuring on the single Diana composed Fireboy DML ft Chris Brown. In 2021 she won the Music of Black Origin (MOBO) Award for Best Reggae Act, in addition to several other music nominations. Speaking about her musical journey in 2023, she stated being an example to other people “who are afraid to crossover or expand.” “Your destiny is for you, and God put you on this earth for a reason, so maximize it to your full potential and don’t hold back,” she said.
