Rick Ross has taken another swipe at Drake following a personal verdict by Akademiks that Ross had a superior diss against the OVO rapper than Kendrick Lamar.
This comes in the wake of Kendrick Lamar’s track Euphoria, released on Tuesday, April 30.
Akademiks shared his thoughts on the ongoing Hip Hop Battle Royale in a post on X, formerly known as Twitter. He suggested Rick Ross had a better Drake diss than Kendrick, as Ross came with some humor. He also mentioned that Kendrick’s diss was not particularly funny or clever.
In response, Ross retweeted the post and echoed some of the jabs from his Drake diss track, Champagne Moments. He referred to claims he previously made about the Canadian superstar getting cosmetic surgery.
Kendrick Lamar’s Euphoria begins with a sample of Teddy Pendergrass’ “You’re My Latest, My Greatest Inspiration.” The track is filled with jabs at Drake, criticizing everything from his parenting skills and alleged use of ghostwriters to rumored plastic surgery and his attitude towards women.
Kendrick also accuses Drake of sending a cease and desist letter in an attempt to have “Like That,” his chart-topping collaboration with Future and Metro Boomin, taken down.
On the other hand, Rick Ross’ Champagne Moments accuses Drake of getting surgery on his nose to appear more “white.” He also explains why the former collaborators fell out in the first place, accusing Drake of sending a cease-and-desist to French Montana.
Ross has been using the release of Euphoria to taunt Drake more, warning him not to respond. He also referred to rumors about his adversary using Lil Yachty as a ghostwriter. This ongoing feud between some of the biggest names in the rap industry continues to captivate fans worldwide, leaving them eagerly awaiting the next development.
