Drake has responded to Kendrick Lamar’s biting diss track, Euphoria, in a rather trolling fashion. The Canadian rapper took to his Instagram Stories on April 30, sharing a clip from the 1999 comedy 10 Things I Hate About You.
The scene features Julia Stiles’ character reciting a poem about her love-hate relationship with a crush, a clear nod to the chorus of Euphoria.
Kendrick’s lyrics in Euphoria are a direct attack on Drake. He expresses his dislike for everything from Drake’s walk and talk to his fashion sense and the women he dates. The Compton rapper does not hold back, promising a direct confrontation if he catches wind of any sneak disses.
Adding fuel to the fire, Drake has hinted at a response to the track through popular streamer, Akademiks. In a text message, Drake teased, “See you soon.”The cryptic message has left fans in anticipation of a potential comeback track.
Akademiks, on his Rumble channel, shared another text that read, “I’m energized by the elimination of Drake… See you soon.”
This statement is a reference to recent comments made by Kanye West, adding another layer to the ongoing feud. Drake also hinted at more music to come, stating, “If you think this is fire, you have no idea what I got coming.”
Drake forced by 2Pac estate to take down Kendrick Lamar diss
Meanwhile, Drake’s diss track against Kendrick Lamar, Taylor Made Freestyle, has been removed following legal threats from 2Pac’s estate.
The song, which used artificial intelligence to mimic the voices of both 2Pac and Snoop Dogg, was pulled down. This was after the estate of the Dear Mama rapper issued a 24-hour takedown notice.
