Chicago rapper Kanye West has confirmed the release date for the much-anticipated album Vultures 2. The project, which sees him collaborating with Ty Dolla $ign, will grace fans’ ears on May 3.
This announcement aligns with a date Kanye mentioned in an accidental leak to a Baby Keem fan page, mistaking it for the rapper’s official account.
The journey to Vultures 2 has been winding, with its predecessor, Vultures 1, having graced the top spot on the Billboard 200 upon its release in early February. The sequel was initially slated for a March 8 release, with a third instalment expected on April 5. However, the release schedule has been shuffled, leaving fans in suspense about the third album’s arrival.
While specifics on Vultures 2 remain scarce, the album promises to be a constellation of stars. Kanye and Ty Dolla $ign have teased the project with tracks featuring a lineup of celebrated artists such as Young Thug, Kid Cudi, Lil Wayne, and more during listening events in Miami and Las Vegas.
In a move that deviated from the norm, several tracks from ‘Vultures 2’ surfaced on social media platforms like TikTok and Instagram in March, bypassing traditional streaming services. Tracks like “River” with Young Thug and Leon Bridges, and “Everybody,” which samples the Backstreet Boys, were shared.
