Female rapper Saweetie has hinted at a possible response to Chris Brown’s recent diss track against Quavo. The news broke on X, the platform formerly known as Twitter.
Saweetie hinted at revising the verses of her new single, which she had previously teased on the platform. This move comes in response to Brown’s latest musical jab.
The rapper also shared a snippet of the track and a video of her relaxing by the pool, seemingly unfazed by the ongoing drama.
The tension between Chris Brown and Quavo dates back to 2017, stemming from an alleged altercation at a BET Awards afterparty. The situation escalated when Quavo was rumored to be dating Brown’s ex-girlfriend, Tran, who had previously filed a restraining order against Brown.
Earlier this year, the tension resurfaced when Quavo and Brown found themselves seated next to each other at a Paris Fashion Week event. Despite the seemingly cordial encounter, Brown later took to social media to express his discontent.
Brown’s latest track, “Freak,” a collaboration with Lil Wayne, Joyner Lucas, and Tee Grizzley, features lyrics that appear to be directed at Quavo. The song is part of Brown’s new 11:11 deluxe album, released on April 11.
Quavo responded with his track “Tender,” where he alludes to Brown’s history of domestic violence and drug use. He also hints at his relationship with Tran, fueling the ongoing feud.
Despite the drama, Tran has denied being in a relationship with Quavo. In a statement, she emphasized that they are just friends and that she is currently single. She also recounted her past experiences with Brown, including allegations of threats and physical assault.
