Rick Ross, the MMG mogul, has expressed his admiration for Taylor Swift and her latest album, The Tortured Poets Department.

Ross took to X, formerly known as Twitter, to share his thoughts. He praised Swift’s songwriting skills and even referred to her song titles as ‘gangsta’. This revelation caught many fans off guard, leading to a flurry of surprised reactions.

Ross’s praise for Swift follows Drake’s recent diss track, “Push Ups (Drop & Give Me 50),” which targeted Ross, Future, and, most notably, Kendrick Lamar. In the track, Drake poked fun at Lamar for collaborating with Swift. The pair had previously worked together on the 2015 hit “Bad Blood (Remix),” which topped the Billboard Hot 100 chart.

Earlier this year, Ross had hinted at being a Swift fan when he dismissed conspiracy theories suggesting that the NFL had rigged the Super Bowl in favor of the Kansas City Chiefs because their star tight end, Travis Kelce, was dating Swift. During an appearance on Logan Paul’s Impaulsive podcast, Ross defended Swift and suggested that she should perform at the Super Bowl.

Taylor Swift’s latest album, “The Tortured Poets Department,” is her eleventh studio album1. It was announced during the 2024 GRAMMYs on February 4, 2024, while Swift was giving her speech after winning the award for the 13th time. Taylor’s changing her profile picture and her website being down hours before the event hinted at the album.

Rick Ross escalates beef with Drake

Meanwhile, Rick Ross has extended an unusual invitation to Drake. Ross has asked Drake to be his neighbor on the luxurious Star Island.

Taking to his Instagram to showcase his wealth and the ongoing construction at his mansion in the upscale Miami Beach neighbourhood, he revealed that a vacant lot beside his property was selling for $37 million.

He suggested that Drake, or any of his wealthy friends, might be interested in becoming his neighbor.
