Rapper and singer Azealia Banks’ controversial social media presence may be more well-known than her 2011 hit song 212, unless your familiarity with her mainstream work is limited.

Doechii, whose true name is Jaylah Ji’mya Hickmon, as well as the 2023 Rising Star Award laureate for Women in Music, has taken a dig at Banks after posting a question on Instagram to her fans, which saw the 212 star dropping by.

In a series of Instagram posts, Doechii dropped pictures of herself using the computer, getting her hair done, eating sweets, and smoking cigarettes.

Doechii also decided to ask her fandom what name they should be called – just as everyone understands, fandoms of well-known artistes require a distinctive name.

In the end, the majority of supporters could only agree on three names: Swamp, Chii Chiis, and Gators (occasionally spelled Gaytors).

Then Azealia added her commentary to the Instagram photo by stating, “Definitely, we should call them ‘wannabe’s” and this promoted a response from Doechii.

“I let it slide the first time you came for me out of respect for my elders,” Doechii stated in a letter. The fact that you’re selling bussy soap and I’m selling platinum records is not my fault. Just please leave me alone.”

Doechii also referred to the controversial rapper as a “wasted talent” during this harsh tirade. The rapper continued, “I make money and motivate people by using my platform. I serve as an inspiration to everyone around me. I’m a positive influence. Your voice and talents used to be highly respected. However, these days, you promote Mary Kay products to propagate gossip about black musicians using your platform. You are completely annoying”.

After that, she attacked Banks, drawing attention to the shade of her skin: “It took you three business days to come up with that response simply to resort to colorism… boooo! Being an attack dog for the same white gays you purportedly detest becomes old, doesn’t it? The only people who would enjoy watching two accomplished black women go at each other’s throats are such people.

Doechii added, “You’re pretty much immobile from the shots, and your brain is fried from the medications. Avoid injuring yourself. It’s unfortunate when you spread rumors about black musicians in order to remain relevant. It’s not the icons, but you are a real problem. The psych ward is just one post away from you.

STOP IT! Your diagnosis indicates wasted talent. I knelt and kissed the ring, but I’m me, damn it! I hate to break it to you, but you won’t intimidate me into staying in my lane. In the two years since I signed, I’ve accomplished what you couldn’t in your whole career. You’re welcome in.”

Azealia Banks answered right away, bragging about the success of her beauty care line, CHEAPYXO, which she claims has generated over $3.5 million in sales.

“Speaking of which, @doechii, did you know the unsightly discoloration on your buttcheeks in many of your videos is due to a retention of dead cells? The cellular plaque in your video is made up of sebum, baked-on feces, and dead skin cells. Yes, you called yourself a swamp girl and then showed the world the excrement barnacles attached to your batty jar,” Banks exclaimed, launching into a weird diatribe.

In an attempt to promote her healthcare range of products, Azalea Banks asserted that Doechii’s “yellow” eyes show that she is “experiencing early-stage liver failure.”

Supporters of Azealia Banks and Doechii think there’s not much prospect of these two rappers working together after this.
