Usher is gorgeous – as we all know – the singer has been a sexual icon for decades, and he doesn’t seem to be slowing down anytime soon as he seems to be expressing himself more.
Along with Russell Wilson and Damson Idris, the R&B legend was voted one of ESSENCE’s “Sexiest Men of the Moment” on Thursday, April 11.
The cover piece, “Everybody Loves Usher Raymond”, delves into the nearly thirty-year success that the Atlanta singer has enjoyed in the music business. Throughout this time, the public has regularly paid attention to him as both a performer and a sight to behold.
The 45-year-old artiste has had increased recognition in the previous year due to his performances at the Super Bowl LVIII halftime show and the conclusion of his 100-day residency at the Park MGM in Las Vegas just a few months prior.
Usher Raymond Day was declared by Mayor Carolyn Goodman and City Councilman Cedric Crear in honor of the R&B icon before he left the Entertainment Capital of the World for the last time – and he was given a key to the city.
During his October acceptance speech, the 45-year-old musician thanked the Councilman for this historic occasion. “I don’t take anything for granted; I am aware of the efforts required to accomplish something like this. I want to express my gratitude for your optimism about the future and your discernment about the things that genuinely contribute to the development of your community. In addition to providing entertainment, I also make a vital contribution to the city’s pulse.”
The Yeah hitmaker received high praise from Crear who stated: “With his incredibly popular residency, My Way, in Las Vegas, Usher has been an absolutely wonderful brand ambassador for the city. And as everyone knows, he will be the star of something for the first time just as the Super Bowl will be held in Las Vegas for the first time in NFL history. I’m not sure if you truly get it.”
