Entrepreneur and musician, Mr Eazi, has ventured into another business with the official launch of his first fully-owned sports betting brand,d known as Choplife.CI.
The move adds to his catalogue of business interests, and comes a few months after he announced an investment in an artiste marketing platform called ‘Un:hurd.’
The newly launched betting platform, operating in Cote d’Ivoire, aims to offer “an innovative and accessible platform for sports betting enthusiasts while adhering to responsible gaming practices and reinvestment in African creativity and sports development.”
Mr Eazi, who has been in the gaming industry for the past seven years, described the move as “a dedication to the gaming industry.”
“This marks a new era in African entertainment. Cote d’Ivoire with its vibrant sports culture and expanding digital ecosystem, serves as the perfect Launchpad,” he said in a statement.
Choplife.ci, according to its owners, offers a variety of online sports betting and casino games, all delivered through an easy-to-use interface, with competitive odds and features designed to elevate the gaming experience.
The Surrender hitmaker’s journey in the gaming industry started when he became a brand ambassador for the betting platform known as betPawa. He subsequently became an investor and shareholder of betPawa’s parent company, which has license operations in five countries (Uganda, Tanzania, Ghana, Rwanda, and Benin) under the umbrella of Choplife Gaming.
Mr Eazi’s new platform in Cote d’Ivoire is seen as his commitment to “promoting African accomplishments in sports,” having sponsored some local football teams and athletes in his home country, Nigeria, and beyond.
Over the years, the young businessman has been celebrated for his unending impact on world music and other fields of interest.
Early in January this year, he took home the Young Entrepreneur Award for his work as “a young creative entrepreneur championing entrepreneurship in and outside of the creative industry in Africa at the Africa Prosperity Champions Award held in Ghana.
