Rap legend Missy Elliott is set to embark on her first-ever headlining North American tour and has asked fans to get ready to join the experience.

Tickets will be sold later this week ahead of the tour, which is scheduled to begin on July 4, 2024, and end on August 22, 2024.

The Get Your Freak On hitmaker has also announced top entertainers like Busta Rhymes, Ciara, and Timbaland as partners on the musical expedition.

“This is an incredible time in my life as I am experiencing so many milestone ‘firsts.’ Being the first female hip-hop artist to be inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame and now going out on my first headline tour.

“Fans have been asking me to tour forever but I wanted to wait until I felt the time was right because I knew if I was ever going to do it, I had to do it big, and I had to do it with family! So get ready to be taken out of this world,” Ms Elliott said in a statement.

It would be recalled that Missy Elliott went upstage sometime in November last year to entertain the crowd after she was inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, one of music’s highest honours.

She was impressed with the recognition, which made her the first female hip-hop artiste to be called into the Hall of Fame at the ceremony, which took place on November 3, 2023, in Brooklyn, New York.

Missy Elliott was inducted with Kate Bush, Sheryl Crow, George Michael, Willie Nelson, Rage Against the Machine, The Spinners, and a host of other performers who have contributed in diverse ways to the hip-hop music genre, which spans over 50 years.

In her acceptance speech, Ms. Elliott, also known as Mellisa Arnette, paid tribute to American rapper and actress, Queen Latifa, for paving the way for many female performers.

Ms Elliot’s tour would, by far, be a celebration of all these achievements and more. Below are the details of the tour dates and venues:
