American singer Megan Thee Stallion is embarking on a tour this summer, which she has officially christened the Hot Girl Summer Tour.
She is expected to journey through 31 cities, starting May 14 in Minneapolis, USA before wrapping up in Washington, DC, on Jul 27, 2024. The organizer, Live Nation, said the trip will include international performances across Europe.
American rapper and Grammy-nominated artiste, GloRilla, has also been announced as a special guest on the tour, which is said to be Megan’s first-ever, headlining tour in arenas across the globe.
Meghan is expected to make stops in New York City, Los Angeles, Chicago, Philadelphia, and other locations. The international concerts have been scheduled to begin in Glasgow, Scotland, on July 4 in addition to performances in England, France, Germany, and Ireland.
Tickets have started selling as of Wednesday, March 20 for early birds, while the general sale will begin Friday, March 22, 2024.
The tour is a follow up to Meghan’s latest single, HISS which reached No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 in February. Before this, she released Cobra which came with a fascinating video, reaching over a million views in less than 24 hours after its premiere.
As of November 6, 2023, the visuals for Cobra had reached 4.3 million views on YouTube. It was her first single after parting ways with her record label, 1501 Certified Entertainment.
The lyrics of the track touched on the singer’s past and her struggle with depression. Meghan Thee Stallion opens her first verse by saying: “just as a snake sheds its skin, we must shed our past over and over again.”
