Meek and DJ Akademiks appear to be resolving their differences in a very different way weeks after they rekindled their online feud.
The duo went back and forth after a recent Diddy lawsuit sparked speculation over Meek’s sexuality, and even received a $1 million offer to take part in a celebrity boxing match.
Following a series of tweets from Meek on Saturday expressing his desire for a podcast deal, DJ Akademiks decided to reply to some of the tweets and received a response from Meek Mill.
Meek Mill wrote: “Not like a finance podcast deal thing, lol. I hang around all billionaires, and I’m caked up. you streaming for your chair, getting drunk… I’m changing laws, stopping major hood beef, and trying to uplift the culture!”
DJ Akademiks then replied: “Wait.. you’re stopping hood beefs.. LMAOOO.. nigga your freestyle. 2 days ago, you rapped, ‘You niggas, start spinning; we are spraying your car. Turks and Caicos. I got back and bought three new dracos’. Nigga, you’re the biggest promoter of the shit you claim you want to stop.”
Meek came back with: “I want a podcast deal. I have a lot to say on many different levels! If you have a podcast business moving slowly, I can reverse that! From meek mill, I’ve always been my own media, and I want to join the culture of black media!”
DJ Akademiks then noted: “I’ll offer you a million dollars up front for 52 episodes. 1 a week. We own video and audio, with the option to renew for a second year. Also, we bust down 50% on any ads we bring in (Prizepicks, Fashionova, etc.). You can own the podcast, but we share the IP as long as you.”
Following his discovery of the juicy offer, Meek declared his interest in a podcast deal and revealed that he had already chosen the name Culture Currency for his show.
“Yeah, just a podcast deal, my boy,” the Philly rapper replied. “I just wanna get in the media now and rap to tell reform stories about the system, let others share their stories, and address all propraganda… uplift the black culture… Stop beefing publicly. It’s going to be called ‘culture currency’.”
