Nicki Minaj is unstoppable. The rap superstar has been breaking records left and right, and her latest achievement is becoming the first female rapper to hit one billion streams in 2024.

According to The Juice Pop, Minaj reached this milestone on Wednesday, February 28, 2024, thanks to the massive success of her 2023 album Pink Friday 2 and its two smash hits, FTCU and Everybody featuring Lil Uzi Vert.

The album, which debuted at number one on the Billboard 200, has been praised by critics and fans alike for its versatility, creativity, and empowerment.

Nicki Minaj also surpasses Jay-Z in all-time list

But that’s not all. Minaj also surpassed JAY-Z to become the sixth longest-charting rapper of all time, as reported by ChartData and Billboard.

She has charted for 1,945 cumulative weeks on the Billboard Hot 100 and Billboard 200, making her the longest-charting female rapper on the list. Only Drake, Lil Wayne, Eminem, Kanye West, and Future have more weeks on the charts than Minaj.

A queen of YouTube streams, her streaming dominance is not limited to 2024. Earlier this year, Pink Friday 2 also became the fastest album by a female rapper to surpass one billion streams on Spotify, joining the ranks of other iconic albums such as Adele’s 21, Taylor Swift’s 1989, and Rihanna’s ANTI.

Fans poised for Nicki’s upcoming Pink Friday 2 tour

Minaj’s fans, known as the Barbz, have been celebrating her achievements on social media, using hashtags such as #NickiMinaj1BillionStreams and #NickiMinajLongestChartingRapper. They have also been showing their support for her upcoming Pink Friday 2 Tour, which is set to be her best-selling tour to date, according to Live Nation.

The Pink Friday 2 Tour will kick off on March 1 in Oakland and run through cities including Los Angeles, New Orleans, Atlanta, Philadelphia, Toronto, Chicago and New York City. It will wrap up on May 13 in Oklahoma City before the European leg begins just 10 days later in Amsterdam. From there, Minaj will play shows in the UK, France, Germany, Portugal, Italy and other countries until July 12.

The tour will feature special guest Monica, who appears on the deluxe edition of Pink Friday 2. Minaj has also teased some surprises and collaborations for the tour, which is expected to be a spectacular showcase of her talent, charisma, and influence.
