Singer and producer Justin Timberlake continues to tease fans ahead of his new album release. On Friday, he dropped a new single called Drown which has so far gathered 200,000 views on YouTube.
His main album, Everything I Thought It Was has been scheduled for March 15, 2024. The new single is a follow-up to the tune Selfish released sometime last month.
Similar to his previous single, some of the comments on Drown suggest the melody is a masterpiece, as Justine stuck to his “old format of writing songs.”
Last month, Justin announced he would set off on a tour on April 29, 2024, after the album Everything I Thought It Was, went live across streaming platforms.
It is still quite a few months before the album finally arrives, and it is not clear if the record producer will be releasing more singles ahead of the album, which would be his first project since 2018.
The 42-year-old, who described the album as one of his “best works”, had stated that the album originally had 100 songs before he managed to trim it down to 18.
The Mirrors crooner would perform songs from the new album when he went on his trip.
The scheduled journey, titled “The Forget Tomorrow World Tour” would first make a stop at the Rogers Arena in Vancouver, BC, Canada, before moving through Seattle, Las Vegas, Phoenix, and other key cities, and finally end on July 9, 2024, in Lexington, Kentucky.
Other cities on the list include Los Angeles, CA; Atlanta, GA; Miami, FL; Chicago, IL; New York, NY; Boston, MA; and many others.
The official YouTube video for Selfish, the first single off the album, had gathered some 3.2 million views as of January 29, 2024. Music fans, in a Billboard poll, voted Selfish as their favourite new music release in the week under review early in January.
