R&B singer Usher married his longtime girlfriend Jennifer Goicoechea in a private Las Vegas ceremony on Sunday.
The wedding happened right after the singer’s highly acclaimed Super Bowl halftime show on Sunday. Their wedding, which took place at a drive-thru chapel in Las Vegas after Usher wowed audiences with his hits, surprised many fans.
Even though, Usher and Goicoechea, a music executive, have been together since 2019 and have two children, not many expected a wedding like that.
While he had hinted at tying the knot after his Super Bowl halftime show, there was no timeline or specific details of the small Las Vegas wedding, hence the surprise.
Following the news of his wedding, photos have emerged online. Some of the photos published by PEOPLE show the newlyweds embracing following the surprise nuptials.
The singer later shared additional photos on social media, simply captioning them “One of them Ones” with a ring emoji. He left a date in the caption to confirm that the ceremony happened on the same day of his performance.
Swizz Beats reacts to Usher’s performance with Alicia Keys
Meanwhile, music producer Swizz Beatz has brushed off chatter about wife Alicia Keys’ steamy onstage moment with Usher during the Super Bowl halftime show.
During Usher’s performance on Sunday, he wrapped his hands around Keys as they sang their hit collaboration “My Boo.” The intimate moment sparked buzz online.
But Swizz dismissed any controversy, writing on Instagram, “Y’all talking about the wrong damn thing!”
