Contrary to sentiments expressed by the public, Swizz Beatz has made it clear that he isn’t troubled about Usher holding his wife, Alicia Keys, from behind, during his Super Bowl performance.
The U Got It Bad crooner, on Sunday, February 11, 2024, performed with Keys, and this had fans wondering if it would make Beatz uncomfortable.
Taking to Instagram, Swizz Beatz, whose real name is Kasseem Dean, noted that the performance was nothing more than two amazing giants teaming up to give a stunning performance. He went ahead to congratulate Usher and his wife Keys for a classic performance and added that he prefers making history to engaging in negative vibes.
Keys, 43, was the first guest to join Usher, 45, on stage at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas. Then came Jermaine Dupri with a cameo, as he commemorated the 20th anniversary of Usher’s iconic album Confessions. Coming up next was H.E.R. for 2004’s Bad Girl and then Will.I.Am for 2010’s OMG.
The audience went wild when Lil Jon and Ludacris joined a roller-skating Usher for a roof-raising rendition of their seminal hit Yeah!
Usher’s 13-minute performance saw the famed R&B artiste run through a set list that included Caught Up, Love in this Club, Confessions, Pt. II and Burn.
In other news, Usher managed to kill two birds with one stone as information available shows he and his longtime girlfriend, Jennifer Goicoechea, obtained a marriage license in Clark County, Nev., on Thursday, February 8, 2024.
Per a report by the Daily Mail, the couple will tie the knot in Las Vegas following the big game. The R&B hitmaker, who has reportedly been dating the music executive since 2019, decided to take their relationship to the next level after receiving counsel from his spiritual director, Amba Kahly Su.
Usher, 45, and Goicoechea, 39, confirmed their romance in October 2019 when the Epic Records executive shared a photo of the two kissing at the Hollywood Bowl.
