Bandana hitmaker Fireboy DML has been announced as the headline act at the 4th edition of the Afro-Caribbean Festival (ACF), which comes off next month.
The celebration is under the auspices of Visit Lauderdale and Memorial Healthcare and hosted by City of Miramar Vice Mayor Alexandra P. Davis.
The organisers say it will take place at Miramar Regional Park Amphitheatre between 6 pm and 11 pm ET on Saturday, February 17, 2024.
The Afro-Carib Festival celebrates cultural diversity and the common bonds of African origins and the Caribbean islands through music, culture, and cuisine.
Other details indicate: “Ticket holders will enjoy live performances by a carefully curated, first-class roster of unique and soulful artists representing afrobeats, reggae, dancehall, konpa, and more genres from the African Diaspora.”
“Also taking the stage at the 4th Annual Afro-Carib Festival are Grammy award-winning reggae artist Kabaka Pyramid, reggae icon Tony Rebel, dancehall hitmaker Nadine Sutherland, afro-creole artist Kenny Haiti, “Good Energy” IG sensation Yung Wylin and classic salsa legend David Lucca,” it said.
The show is expected to be an unforgettable night of music, culture, and cuisine.

“With his chart-topping hits and global recognition, Fireboy DML is sure to bring the house down with his electrifying performance!,” Vice Mayor Alexandra P. Davis said.
Early in January, Fireboy DML’s 2021 single, Peru, reached 100 million streams on Spotify.
Released in July 2021, the fine melody had also recorded over 47 million streams on Audiomack.
With hundreds of records under his belt, Fireboy has been one of the most hardworking Afrobeats talents and continues to make waves with records like Bandana featuring Asake and the most recent Outside and Obasima
A remix of Peru, featuring pop star Ed Sheeran, is one of the catchy afro-pop songs with nearly 200 million YouTube views.
In addition to other recognitions, the song debuted on the US Billboard Hot 100 Chart and peaked at number 2 on the United Kingdom’s Official Singles Chart.
Fireboy is signed to YBNL Nation, an independent record label owned by Nigerian award-winning rapper Olamide.
He has three studio albums and millions of monthly online listeners. He has a BET Award nomination for Best International Act, and his song Coming Back For You was included on the Black Panther: Wakanda Forever soundtrack.
