Nick Cannon and Alyssa Scott have marked the second year of the passing of their baby boy, Zen, who was 5 months at the time he lost the battle to cancer and a brain tumor.
Zen passed on in December 2021, and two years later, his parents have honored him with touching words that reminded everyone how precious life is.
Nick took to Instagram to write: “Zen’s Light and presence shining over little Miss Halo and Mommy and Daddy. What a beautiful day to remind us all that there is a higher power and God’s Energy and frequency to keep us all going under his grace and mercy even in the midst of challenges.”
His post featured a video montage of the doting parents and their 13-month-old daughter, Halo, enjoying a day on the beach.
Scott also shared some family moments captured on a beach in which the three of them were seen sharing smiles.
At present, Cannon is also the father of eleven other children from different relationships, aside from his children with Scott.
He is also a father to twins Moroccan and Monroe with ex-wife Mariah Carey; sons Golden Sagon and Rise Messiah Cannon; daughter Powerful Queen with Brittany Bell; twins Zion Mixolydian and Zillion Heir; and daughter Beautiful Zeppelin with Abby De La Rosa, son Legendary Love with Bre Tiesi, and daughter Onyx Ice Cole with LaNisha Cole.

The host of The Masked Singer, posted a carousel of photos to celebrate the occasion.
He also posted a video titled “Halo’s Cake Smash,” which captured the adorable child in a poofy pink dress, joyfully indulging in her birthday cake. As the clip unfolded, Halo playfully smeared cake on her face and the floor, bouncing with delight and smiling at the camera.
