Drake and Meek Mill have expressed their outrage over a leaked video of Young Thug in jail.

Both rappers believe it was a violation of Young Thug’s privacy and a sign of corruption in the justice system.

The video, which was reportedly posted online, shows Young Thug having a phone conversation with his girlfriend Mariah The Scientist.

The couple exchange words of love and support, as Young Thug tells her he misses her and hopes to see her soon.

Young Thug has been in jail since May 2022, when he was arrested for racketeering, drug trafficking, and firearms possession.

He is accused of being the leader of a criminal organization called YSL, which stands for Young Stoner Life, his record label.

The rapper has pleaded not guilty to the charges and is awaiting trial, which is scheduled to begin in March 2024. He faces up to life in prison if convicted.

Drake slams judge and jail staff

Drake, who is a close friend and collaborator of Young Thug, was appalled by the leaked video. He took to social media to slam the judge presiding over the case, Ural Glanville. He also slammed the jail staff for allowing it to happen.

“This gotta be some form of jail misconduct,” he wrote in a comment on Akademiks’ Instagram post, which shared the video.

“You gonna drag this talented man then not be able to control your employees using his personal business for their own gain?

“Somebody benefitted from this video even existing, and that’s shameful whole case is a was. Just 3 the guy and let him come home and continue bringing light to Atlanta.”

The 6 God also posted a screenshot of his comment on his Instagram Stories, adding:

“Shit is disgraceful… is this a criminal case or Atlanta social media promo Ural Glanville?”

Meek Mill adds his voice

Meek Mill, who has also faced legal troubles and prison time in the past, echoed Drake’s sentiments. He suggested that Young Thug could sue the jail for violating his rights.

“This a top tier lawsuit your personal call not supposed to be on the street!” he wrote on X, formerly known as Twitter.

Neither Judge Glanville nor the jail have responded to the criticism from Drake and Meek Mill or explained how the video was leaked.

Young Thug’s defense plays Rich Gang song “Lifestyle” in court

Young Thug’s ongoing trial has led to several unusual incidents, the latest being a video of one of his songs being played in court.

His defense team played a video of his 2014 Rich Gang song, Lifestyle, with almost everyone in the courtroom watching in silence.

The nature of the case has crossed paths with his public history, and the video forms part of the cross-examination of Tick.
