After taking a short break, Mr Eazi returned to X (Twitter) early this week with two noteworthy announcements for his followers.
He intends to hold The Evil Genius concert and also releases the official video for the song Orokoro, one of the tracks on his 2023 album which features Angélique Kidjo.
The video, he said, will be out next week, but he did not provide a date for The Evil Genius concert.
“My Superfans deserve a night with the Evil Genius’ concert, performing only songs from the album, by the way,” he posted on Wednesday.
His followers have expressed interest in the concert and also anticipate the upcoming work with Angélique Kidjo.
In October 2023, the established Afro-musician and entrepreneur released The Evil Genius project, delving into subjects such as love, betrayal, loneliness, and family.
The album, with over nine million streams on Audiomack alone, has some top selections like Advice, Panadol, Jamboree, Chop Time No Friend and many others.
In December 2023, Mr Eazi hosted his annual Detty Rave concert in Ghana, which attracted hundreds of revellers from far and near.
Before this, The Museum for the United Nations—UN Live listed him as one of the inspiring personalities creating positive impact through popular music. He was hailed for “helping reshape global narratives and how the world views Africa.”
The 2023 Culture for Impact List, compiled by the non-profit organisation, is based on “exciting initiatives and programmes” the organisation came across through its work with “popular culture for change, conversations with partners, and the collective pulse” of its extended network.
Last month, Mr Eazi said he was looking forward to singing with a female artiste. Several undiscovered female acts responded to his tweet on X (Twitter) but it is not clear if he has signed anyone yet.
