Meek Mill, the Philadelphia rapper who has been making headlines with his latest album Too Good To Be True, has revealed that he is launching his own weed strain to accompany his music.

The rapper shared the news on his Instagram account on Thursday, January 4, 2024.

“Of course I’m starting a weed strand to go along with the new album!” he wrote in the caption, adding a fire emoji. He did not disclose the name or the details of his weed strain.

The announcement surprised some of his fans, as Meek Mill had previously admitted that smoking weed made him depressed and that he was happier when he was sober.

In a tweet from 2022, he wrote: “I smoke weed everyday and get depressed and soon as I get high … I be happy as hell sober lol it just helps me think deeper and more realistic lol.”

Some of his followers suggested that he should try a different strain or quit smoking altogether, while others supported his decision and expressed their excitement for his new product and music.

Meek Mill has not responded to the comments or clarified his stance on weed.

Meek Mill, whose real name is Robert Rihmeek Williams, is one of the most successful and influential rappers of his generation.

He has sold over 20 million records worldwide and has been nominated for three Grammy Awards.

He is also known for his activism and philanthropy, especially for criminal justice reform and youth empowerment.
