Comedian and show host, Steve Harvey, may have indirectly responded to comments Katt Williams made about him during his recent interview on the Club Shay Shay podcast.
In a post on X, Harvey noted that it isn’t important to explain oneself to haters.
He added that he has realized there is someone really coming after him at the moment, but he believes it isn’t important to open his mouth to respond.
He quoted Psalm 23:5 in the Bible, which says “He prepares a table before me in the presence of mine enemies”.
The popular talk show host went ahead to say that people who are effective at what they do eventually end up with haters. This, he said, also stirs jealousy in others, and haters can be sent from the devil to oppose people when they are being guided by God towards greatness.
As part of his interaction with the host of the show, Katt Williams took aims at a number of celebrities. As part of his comments, he stated that Harvey stole the concept of his 1990s sitcom The Steve Harvey Show from Mark Curry’s Hangin’ With Mr. Cooper.
Williams went ahead to say that Harvey has no skills as an actor and he never wanted to be a movie star.
Steve Harvey is the latest celebrity who appears to have responded to Williams’ comments. Others who have previously done that include Cedric The Entertainer, Tiffany Haddish, Kevin Hart and Rickey Smiley.
Meanwhile, Ed Lover has supported claims by Williams that Harvey hated on Bernie Mac prior to his passing.
Lover added that Harvey attempted to steal Mac’s role as Frank Catton in Oceans 11.
Lover, who was a close friend of Bernie Mac up until his passing, recalled the late comedian personally informing him of Harvey’s alleged underhanded tactics.
