Days after going viral over a family dispute, T.I and King Harris appeared on Complex’s Goat Talk series, where, Harris, who is 19 years old, admitted that he had no idea that the late Tupac Shakur was an actor as well, or that Will Smith, also known as the Fresh Prince, was also a rapper.
These revelations allegedly led his father to hang his head in embarrassment.
When asked about the GOAT rapper-turned-actor, T.I mentioned Tupac as his favorite, and this led King to ask,” Tupac was an actor”?
“Man, get out. Get OUT!” T.I responded, pointing at the door in disbelief.
Harris added that he was convinced it was a Tupac lookalike who acted in movies such as Juice, adding that he has never watched Poetic Justice.
“That’s your generation,” he told his father before naming Ice Cube as his GOAT rapper-turned-actor. “I rocked with Ice Cube. Cube the OG,” T.I, said in agreement before bringing up Will Smith.
“Will Smith. Can’t forget Will,” T.I added, leading King to ask, “He a rapper?”
“Oh my god!” T.I. responds, with King adding, “Bruh, I don’t know no Will Smith songs! That’s like asking me “What’s a Nick Cannon song?”
“No it’s not! Nick Cannon has no hits!” T.I replied, going on to inform his son of Smith as the Fresh Prince winning the first Hip-hop Grammy.
Harris then proceeds to wonder why none of Will Smith’s songs are trending at the moment, before jokingly adding: “I feel y’all about to tell me Denzel Washington is a rapper.”
The light exchange of words between father and son comes days after they tussled over comments about King’s upbringing, with T.I. and his wife Tameka “Tiny” Harris claiming he had a “silver spoon” childhood, a claim King has strongly denied.
“Do y’all wanna go to the bando in my neighborhood,” King asked, before accusing T.I. of lying. “To make him look better, he says sh*t that he know not true.”
“Silver spoon? I ain’t never ate with that a day in my life…They ain’t gonna tell you everything. They trying to hide it, sugarcoat it. He capping. He know I stand on business, he know that. Ain’t no n*gga ever pull my card ever in life. I stand on business,” Harris quipped.
