The drama began earlier this week when fans noticed Tish Cyrus, 57, appeared to have unfollowed Miley on Instagram, prompting speculation of a rift.
Tish quickly clarified the situation, commenting that she “had no idea how that happened, but it’s fixed now!” and reaffirming her closeness to her daughter on X with, “I would never unfollow Miley, her and I are as close as we’ve always been. Period. Love you Little.”

Miley echoed this sentiment, writing, “I rarely comment on rumors, but my mama and I are too tight for anything to ever come between us.

Miley also touched on her relationship with her father, Billy Ray Cyrus, 63, acknowledging their past challenges. “My dad and I have had our challenges over the years,” she admitted.
“Now, in my thirties, family is my priority above all else. I’m at peace knowing bridges have been built and time has done a lot of healing. Grateful for the good health and love that flows through my family.”

Her comments came shortly after Billy Ray posted a photo on May 9, celebrating son Braison’s 31st birthday with Miley, her boyfriend Maxx Morando, and himself, signaling a public reconciliation.
The Cyrus family has faced scrutiny since Tish and Billy Ray’s 2022 divorce, with further speculation arising from Miley’s omission of her father during her 2024 Grammy acceptance speech and reports of strained dynamics with siblings Noah and Braison.

However, a family source recently told a publication that “Miley and Noah and Braison and Tish, they don’t want to be this Cyrus family feud. This is not enjoyable for them,” suggesting a collective desire to move past the drama.
Miley’s statement aligns with her recent focus on new music, including her upcoming album Something Beautiful, set for release on May 30, following her Grammy-winning 2023 hit “Flowers.”
