The group, known for being politically outspoken, spoke for the Palestinians and called for peace during their performance at the Tom Lee Park in Memphis on Saturday, May 3.

“No matter what part of the world we come from, no matter what language we speak, no matter what colour we are, we are all one person. With peace and togetherness, we would have so much power,” they stated while performing one of their songs.

In January, members of the group raised money for victims of the Los Angeles. They launched a GoFundMe and visited some displaced families.

The group is expected to perform later in June at the London Royal Albert Hall. The concert is said to be their first UK show in nearly a decade.

“We are honoured to have this opportunity to stand on the Royal Albert Hall stage and perform under the same renowned roof that the greats from Hendrix to Pavarotti, from The Beatles to my brothers Cypress Hill have. Thank you, London. We’ll see you soon,” they stated.

The remarks by Public Enemy on Palestine were similar to those of singer Kehlani, after she was cancelled from a scheduled concert at Cornell University.

“I am anti-genocide, I am anti the actions of the Israeli government, I am anti an extermination of an entire people, I’m anti the bombing of innocent children, men, women… that’s what I’m anti,” she noted.
