Cardi B says her second album is almost complete, but a few missing features are holding it back.
The Bronx rapper went live on Instagram recently and told fans she’s still waiting for some artists to send in their parts.
She explained that most of the album is done, but a few verses and hooks are yet to be delivered. Cardi said she doesn’t want to rush the artists because she respects them, but she also made it clear that time is running out.
She needs the features soon and is feeling the pressure to get everything wrapped up.
Cardi also shared how passionate she is about the album. She said she’s given it her all and believes it’s one of her best works yet. She mentioned that it’s a project she put her heart into, and she wants everything to be perfect before it drops.
“I really need these fucking features. And it’s like I’m not really trying to press or go crazy on these artists because I love them down,” she said.
Earlier this month, she spoke about the album and said it could be even better than her debut, Invasion of Privacy, which won a Grammy in 2019.
She said she still respects her first album but feels this new one shows her growth and talent in a new way.
The title and release date are still unknown, but Cardi said fans can expect a mix of familiar and new artists on the tracklist.
The WAP crooner hinted that some of the collaborators have worked with her before, while others will be teaming up with her for the first time.
Cardi’s pregnancy slowed down the album’s progress last year, but she is now back in the studio and working hard to get everything done. She said her goal is to release the album in 2025.
