Beyond the upcoming project, the superstar is expected to return as a judge on the 28th edition of the reality show, The Voice on NBC.

In March this year, Suge Knight, a former CEO of Death Row Records, criticized Snoop for “destroying” the cherished company. In an interview, the imprisoned businessman described his shortcomings while working for Def Jam, including how Snoop’s Doggystyle label failed to gain traction.

Appearing on the Drink Champs podcast last year, Snoop Dogg said he did not take sides when Kendrick Lamar and Drake were bombarding each other with diss songs. However, he thought the battle between the two musicians fostered some unity among other players in the music industry.

“So, it may have been disrespectful, but it’s hip hop, so it’s part of hip hop,” he said. “I chose no sides because I have no individual cause. That’s a grown man going against a grown man…” he stated.
