Drake has made history by breaking two major music records in a single day,  surpassing the Beatles on the Billboard 200 and reaching a record-breaking milestone with the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA).

The Canadian rapper now holds the record for the most cumulative weeks on the Billboard 200 chart. His albums have spent a total of 3,348 weeks on the chart since the release of So Far Gone in 2009.

This beats the Beatles’ previous record of 3,311 weeks. Taylor Swift recently passed the Beatles as well, reaching 3,313 weeks.

Drake is now officially the most charted artist in Billboard 200 history. Eminem is the only other hip hop act in the top ten, with 2,423 weeks on the chart.

On the same day, it was confirmed that Drake is the first artist to surpass 500 million RIAA-certified units across singles, albums, and features.

He remains the highest-certified artist of all time, a position he has held since 2022 after passing Eminem.
