Atlanta rapper Young Scooter has been laid to rest in an emotional ceremony attended by loved ones just over a week after his untimely passing.
The homegoing service was held on Monday, April 7, at Saint Philip AME Church, where family, friends, and fans gathered to honour the life and legacy of the 39-year-old artist, born Kenneth Bailey.
His teenage son wore a sparkling gold chain in tribute to his father, showcasing a photo of Scooter framed inside a diamond-encrusted book.

Scooter will be buried later this week in his hometown of Walterboro, South Carolina, where his journey began.
An autopsy confirmed that the rapper died from a deep injury to his leg, which caused significant blood loss.
The fatal wound occurred while he was attempting to scale a fence during a police encounter. The report made it clear that the injury was not caused by gunfire, putting an end to speculation that law enforcement had used deadly force.

The police response stemmed from a 911 call that has since been confirmed false.
Authorities have arrested Demetria Spence, a reality TV personality known from Baddies, who allegedly made the hoax call. She was charged with issuing a false public alarm that resulted in serious harm. Spence was released on a $7,500 bond.
Before her arrest, Spence appeared on social media claiming she had personal reasons for contacting emergency services.

However, her actual report included dramatic claims about violence, drugs, and weapons inside a home, none of which police found when they arrived at the scene.
She also mentioned concerns about the safety of a child and suggested the house was linked to illegal activity, though these claims were also unsubstantiated.
