Drake has expressed interest in making music with Justin Bieber, but the pop star is not responding.
On Sunday, April 6, 2025, Bieber told his nearly 300 million Instagram followers to message him if they wanted to make music.
Drake commented under the post, saying he had already sent a message but got no reply. Bieber has not responded to Drake yet.
While Bieber has ignored Drake, many other artists have shown interest in working with him. Big Sean, who featured on Bieber’s 2012 hit As Long As You Love Me, told him to check his messages. Kehlani also showed excitement. Actor and musician Jaden Smith, a longtime friend of Bieber, asked him to check his messages as well. Rising country artist Bailey Zimmerman also said the world needs a country version of Bieber.
Drake and Bieber have only worked together once. Their song Right Here came out in 2013 but was not a major hit. It peaked at number 95 on the Billboard Hot 100 and faded quickly despite the fame of both artistes.
The song’s beat was produced by Hit-Boy. He later revealed that it was first meant for Big Sean and J. Cole’s song ‘24k of Gold.’ According to Hit-Boy, Big Sean told him to give the beat to Bieber and Drake instead, knowing it would be a big move for the producer. Hit-Boy praised Sean for making that choice and also called Drake a legend.
Drake also made a brief appearance in Bieber’s debut video for Baby, which helped launch Bieber’s career in 2010.
