While celebrating this achievement, the businessman noted that he was also moving ahead with a new project in Shreveport, Louisiana.
50 Cent has secured a long-term lease on the Stageworks building, which will be turned into a modern sports and entertainment venue.
The lease was approved by the Shreveport City Council in March. 50 Cent’s company, G-Unit Films & Television, will pay just $200 per month for the next 30 years, with the option to extend the lease by another 15 years. He will also handle all maintenance and operations of the venue.
The space will be renovated to support basketball, volleyball, boxing, MMA, concerts, car shows, and large events. The project is expected to bring new life to the building and increase tourism and entertainment options in the city.
50 Cent already runs a large film and TV studio in Shreveport, and this new project will expand his presence in the city.
