One of the lawsuits against Sean Diddy Combs has reportedly been dismissed for want of evidence. This was after a plaintiff Jane Doe (not her real name) refused to reveal her identity in one of the sexual assault allegations.
Jane Doe had claimed that the rapper made unwanted advances at a 1995 party in New York City and that Diddy allegedly struck her when she refused his proposition.

This case was dismissed on Monday, March 31, 2025. According to sources close to the case, the judge ordered Jane Doe to reveal her identity by March 20 but was compelled to rule on the case after the time had elapsed.
“The very gravity of the charges, combined with the fact that Plaintiff has presented no evidence of specific and concrete harm from disclosure of her identity and the severe prejudice to Defendants from keeping that identity confidential, undermine her claim to proceed anonymously…

“…all pending motions were terminated, and the case has been formally closed,” part the court order made public stated.

“For months, we have seen case after case filed by individuals hiding behind anonymity, pushed forward by attorneys more focused on media headlines than legal merit. The other claims, like the one dismissed today, also will not hold up in a court of law,” Representative for Diddy added.
In March, Diddy’s lawyers questioned the authenticity of a hotel CCTV footage that captured the embattled music maker allegedly assaulting his ex-girlfriend, Cassie Ventura.
Ahead of his pre-trial hearing, representatives of the Bad Boyz Records founder reportedly sent a joint letter claiming the footage obtained by CNN for a hotel was altered.
“The defense has confirmed, through a forensic video analysis of the CNN footage that the government provided to this Court and of the footage provided by CNN in response to the defense subpoena, that all CNN video footage was substantially altered in significant respects,” the letter available to some outlets read.
