Mathew Knowles, father of Beyoncé, isn’t staying silent after Kanye West’s viral attack on his 7-year-old twin grandchildren, Sir and Rumi.
In an exclusive statement to TMZ, Knowles called out the rapper’s actions as “stupid” and issued a stern warning: “People pay a price for being stupid, especially in the music industry.”
But he didn’t stop at condemnation, adding a layer of concern: “I’m hopeful Kanye gets the type of help he needs, in terms of mental health.”

The rebuke follows West’s now-deleted X posts, where he questioned the mental capacity of Jay-Z and Beyoncé’s twins, sparking widespread outrage.
Far from apologetic, Ye later clarified his reasoning: “I NEED EVERYONE TO KNOW THAT I TOOK THE POST ABOUT JAY Z AND BEYONCÉ’S FAMILY DOWN … BECAUSE THERE WAS A POSSIBILITY OF MY TWITTER BEING CANCELLED NOT BECAUSE IM A GOOD PERSON.”

Knowles, meanwhile, didn’t pull punches. His dual message—calling out West’s recklessness while advocating for mental health support—underscores the gravity of the situation.
