After a 12-year hiatus, legendary rock group Guns N’ Roses plans to return to India in collaboration with Indian event marketing business BookMyShow Live.
The band will make a comeback on May 17 at Mumbai’s Mahalaxmi Racecourse, which is usually used for horse racing. Live Nation, the band’s global tour promoter, is co-producing the Mumbai performance. Before lead vocalist Axl Rose’s reunion with Slash and Duff McKagan, the band’s most recent performance in India took place on December 12, 2012, at Gurgaon, outside of New Delhi.

As part of a lengthy international tour that starts May 1 in Incheon, South Korea, and includes stops in Japan, Bahrain, and a landmark May 23 performance in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, Guns N Roses will go to India. With assistance from rock group Rival Sons, hip-hop legends Public Enemy, and a reformed Sex Pistols, the band also intends to play in Shekvetili, Georgia, and make other appearances around Europe.

With partners C3 Presents and Janes Addiction frontman and Lollapalooza founder Perry Farrell, BookMyShow successfully organized Lollapalooza India last week. The event included homegrown favorites Hanumankind, Niladri Kumar, and Raftaar X KR$NA in addition to headliners Green Day, Shawn Mendes, and Louis Tomlinson. BookMyShows arranged seven concerts for Ed Sheeran’s most recent 2025 stop, as well as two Coldplay stops in Mumbai and Ahmedabad as part of their 2025 Music of the Spheres World Tour.
The Mumbai performance on May 17 goes on sale on March 17.
