Almost three years after the death of Stephen Boss, popularly known as tWitch, his wife is opening up about her final years with him and the events leading up to his death.
Allison Holker, the wife of the late dancer tWitch, has stated that her husband, Stephen Boss, was “no longer joyful” after an Ayahuasca experience.

The 36-year-old widow of Stephen “tWitch” Boss, who shared kids Weslie, 16, Maddox, 8, and Zaia, 5, with him recently discussed a passage from her memoir, This Far: My Story of Love, Loss, and Embracing the Light. The passage describes changes she observed in her husband after an Ayahuasca experience, before his death by suicide in December 2022 at age 40.

“I feel like his heart was never really in the same place when he came back,” she reflected on the Feb. 4 episode of The Jamie Kern Lima Show. “He could still find joy, and he could still go day-to-day putting on his face and getting through the days, but something was missing in his eyes.”
Also in her memoir, she alleges her late husband “Spent Recklessly on Drugs,” Left a $1 Million Tax Bill. Allison now rethinks a deep conversation she shared with her husband of nine years after reaching the peak of a scenic hike in Hawaii.

“It was a beautiful moment. We were deep in conversation, talking about life, death, and the beauty of it all. We shared a belief that death isn’t the absolute end. We felt there was something more—another life, another path, another future—and the possibility of finding love again in another lifetime.”
“Time has passed since Stephen’s death, giving the dancer and mom of three a new perspective on life’s big questions.”
She recalled the conversation, saying, “It’s strange, but we somehow managed to beautify death. He faced it without fear, almost welcoming it.”
Looking back on our conversation, it seems death had been on his mind. Death was a constant threat, and he was beginning to make peace with the possibility.

Unfortunately, not everyone seems to be happy about Allison’s memoir and the revelations about her late husband. His family, some friends, and managers have spoken out on what they say is tarnishing the image of their loved one.
However, she has been resolute about her decision to share her side of the story, even if it paints a less rosy picture of the dancer’s life.

“It’s a tough situation for me as a mother,” Allison said, “because they’re so hurt by their father’s decision.”
“I loved Stephen, and he was a wonderful person,” she said. “His life was filled with hardship, and while I want to honor his memory, I have to be careful about how I do that, given some of the choices he made.”
