Kid Cudi has spoken about the break-in at his Los Angeles residence, saying that the man who was arrested is a “crazed fan” who has been stalking him for years.
There were reports last week about an intruder who trespassed into the rapper’s mansion and made himself comfortable amid the California wildfires.

Following social media reactions, Kid Cudi opened up about the incident on X (formerly Twitter) on Thursday.
“Hey, so I wanna clear this up cause I see the internet running with things and making jokes…The person that broke into my house was a crazed fan that has been stalking me for years without me knowing,” he said, adding that he would take measures to prevent a similar incident in future.

“There is nothing funny about this. My privacy was violated, and now I have to protect myself…I don’t feel safe now. He rummaged through personal things, my fiance’s stuff, took a shower and ate, all while thinking he was actually gonna have a conversation with me. This was an unhinged 34-year-old man. Not homeless.”
“I’m gonna take some serious security measures to make sure this doesn’t happen again…I’m not online to see the comments, but word got back to me people are making light of this and it’s not okay…” he added.
Reports indicate that the Los Angeles County Sheriff was prompted when the burglar was noticed on Cudi’s security cameras. The suspect is said to be held on $150,000 bail and booked for felony burglary and theft of utilities.

Kid Cudi recently told his Instagram followers that he was evacuating as the fires continued to spread.
“Hey guys, had to evacuate my crib…I’m safe, my loved ones, dogs are safe. For all the folk who lost their homes, people that are dealing with this, my heart hurts for you and I’m for praying us all…
“I send all my love to you and yours. if you have to evacuate, get out immediately. Don’t hesitate. Be safe LA. Love you guys,” he wrote.

Early this month, Cudi revealed in an interview with Zane Lowe on Apple Music that he has reconciled with Kanye West after a tumultuous relationship over the years.
