M.I.A. has made a startling claim about her time with JAY-Z’s Roc Nation, alleging that he urged her to undergo plastic surgery when she joined the management company over a decade ago.

The British rapper, known for hits like ‘Paper Planes,’ recently shared this surprising revelation during a live session covering various topics, including remarks aimed at Azealia Banks and comments about Adele’s career.

M.I.A. joined Roc Nation in May 2012 and departed by early 2014. Reflecting on her tenure, she stated that JAY-Z’s advice included suggesting to surgically alter her appearance.

This is not the first time M.I.A. has criticized JAY-Z and Roc Nation. Earlier this year, she took to social media to voice frustrations, including grievances about her inability to see her son.

She linked her difficulties to political factors, claiming that her support for figures like Julian Assange and her stance on global conflicts, particularly the Israel-Palestine issue, has led to her being denied a U.S. visa.

She expressed frustration over what she perceives as a double standard, highlighting the challenges she faces despite paying taxes in the United States.

Her social media outbursts have also touched on broader issues, from the Biden administration to alleged systemic injustices. M.I.A. has been vocal about what she sees as unfair treatment, often tying her struggles to larger political narratives.

She has accused the government of preventing her from reuniting with her child while allowing questionable custodial arrangements elsewhere.
