Former Disney Channel sitcom star Skai Jackson has confirmed she is expecting her first child after months of speculation about her pregnancy.

The 22-year-old expressed her excitement in a recent interview and posted pictures of her baby bump.

“I’m thrilled to begin this new chapter in my life…embracing motherhood and diving into new acting projects. My heart is so full!” she told the news outlet, People.

In October this year, some followers of the Skai suspected she was pregnant, judging from some of her pictures that appeared online.

She was spotted in Los Angeles wearing shorts, a white top, and other accessories. She appeared to be holding her belly while on the phone.

At the time, followers reacted to the post, wondering why Paparazzi decided to “invade” her privacy.

Now that the pregnancy has been confirmed, sources say she spends time with her mother, Kiya Cole, who raised her as a single mother.

In August, Skai Jackson ran into trouble with the law when she was reportedly arrested following a public fight with her boyfriend.

Sources close to the incident, at the time, said officials were called to Universal CityWalk after security spotted the child star and her boyfriend getting into a scuffle, in which she allegedly pushed her partner “multiple times.”

The couple were said to be subsequently detained after police arrived, but they denied that they were getting physical. Police later arrested Jackson for “misdemeanor domestic battery” after they reviewed video footage and saw that the actress pushed her boyfriend.

It later turned out that Skai would not serve a jail term after the arrest. Prosecutors said there was not “enough evidence.”

At the time, Skai, revealed that she and her boyfriend were both “happily engaged and expecting a baby together.”

The American actress is best known for her role in the Disney Channel sitcom Jessie from 2011 to 2015, and a follow-up series called Bunk’d from 2015 to 2018.

She appeared on Time Magazine’s list of the “Most Influential Teens” in 2016 and was nominated for Best Influencer at the Shorty Awards in 2017.
