Jonathan Majors and now girlfriend Meagan Good recently announced their engagement which went viral.
The announcement came when Meagan showed off her ring while they were on the red carpet at the Ebony Power 100 Gala in Los Angeles on Sunday
The announcement was a special one because Jonathan and Meagan are said to have met at the same event several years ago before publicly announcing their relationship in May 2023.
Just two months after they got officially together, Jonathan was arrested for a domestic dispute with his ex, Grace Jabbari.
He was found guilty of assault and harassment in the domestic violence case brought against him by Jabbari in December 2023.
Majors was convicted in December 2023 of two misdemeanor counts for assaulting Grace Jabbari in the back seat of an SUV.
The actor was then sentenced to a Batterers Intervention Program in April.
However, the current news making waves state that Grace has dropped the federal lawsuit against him in which she had accused the actor of assault and defamation on Thursday, November 21, 2024.
After maintaining that he had “never laid [his] hands on a woman” in an interview with “Good Morning America,” Grace sued Jonathan in March, alleging that he had defamed her by acting innocent even after his guilty verdict.
On Thursday, attorneys for both parties filed a joint notice with the court stating that “all claims against the defendant in the above-captioned action are hereby dismissed with prejudice.”
Before this lawsuit, 2023 was looking to be a great breakout year for Jonathan Majors, as he had worked for Michael B. Jordan in “Creed III” and was set to play Kang the Conqueror in “Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania.”
However, his arrest led to his management and PR firms dropping him, and Marvel cut ties with him after the guilty verdict.
Also, an upcoming project that was said to have been in the works as the actor was supposed to star as the villain of “Avengers: The Kang Dynasty” but that film has since been scrapped and has been replaced with “Avengers: Doomsday,” starring Robert Downey Jr. as Doctor Doom.
Another dropped project that at first seemed to be a great career recovery for Jonathan was when he was cast in “Merciless” and “Magazine Dreams.”
Throughout the assault accusations and sentences, Jonathan has, however, denied the assault allegations and has maintained his desire to return to work.
