There is a new sound emanating from a vibrant voice set to leave a positive impression on the Afrobeats scene.

A charming and promising act, the songstress named Morravey, announced her presence with her debut Extended Play (EP) titled Ravi.

The project by the Nigerian singer, a signee of the Davido Music World (DMW) record label, is already making waves and drawing mixed reactions from fans.

Her playlist has songs such as What Is Love, High Again, Condo, My Baby, and Magician featuring the coveted King of Afrobeats, Davido.

Announcing the release on her X (Twitter) the singer said she was thrilled to “finally” hand over the project which fans had been waiting for.

The well-packaged EP, with soothing instrumentations and refreshing lyrics on each record, has reportedly reached number six on the Nigerian Apple Music Top Album Chart barely 24 hours after had been unveiled.

Unvailable hitmaker, Davido, had early on spoken highly about the work of the 19-year-old artiste, saying he knew the young talent was going to deliver.

“When I discovered you randomly on the internet with your cover videos for the Timeless album, I instantly knew you were born for this. Now it’s your Go! …I wish you all the very best ahead, ” Davido wrote on his X page with a montage of the new signee.

Morravey described the notes of each song on the compilation as “a ray of sunshine.”

From humble beginnings in Port Harcourt Nigeria, she believed little steps forward could lead to amazing destinations, including working with Davido.

Davido, who would host a listening party for the EP on his Instagram Live page, said he had been a huge fan of Morravey all the time and believed the opportunity had come for the exceptional act to shine.

Fans have congratulated Morravey on the new journey, asking her to connect more with her fans as she soars to greater heights.

Born Daniella Ibinabo Daniel, Morravey delivered a throbbing chorus on the song In the Garden on Davido’s Timeless Album, released in March this year.

The Rivers State-born signee is said to be the second woman, after Nigerian singer Liya, to work under DMW.

Morravey, in addition to singing, is a full-time medical student at Rivers State University. She posts videos of herself singing covers of various songs on social media platforms such as Instagram and TikTok.

One of her TikTok videos was a cover of Ayra’s “RUSH,” which was watched over 500,000 times.

Her love of music led to her discovery by Davido after she posted a freestyle on Tiktok singing Ayra Starr‘s Rush.
