Music artiste, Cardi B, has over the years, created an image for herself as an ardent participant in political activities. Records show she is usually often fully engaged in such processes and takes them seriously.
It, therefore, comes as no surprise that she is speaking out in support of her very good friend, Jason Lee, who is running for City Council.
In a Public Service Announcement to her millions of fans on the West Coast, the rap star has urged them to get out and vote, not only in the presidential election but also for Lee, who has transformed his life in media to dedicate his time to fighting for something more impactful: changing the lives of those in his hometown.

In a video message, Cardi B said, “I really want to remind you, you West Coast people to please please please, please vote for my friend Jason Lee, to be the next City Council for District 6.”

She went on to say that “he has been working so hard, and has been collecting money, and has been hitting up everybody; every friend to raise money for his city. And I’m telling you, Jason Lee got money, so he don’t ever gotta take your money [or] steal your money. He wants to change your community.”
Cardi B, who has been a longstanding supporter of Jason Lee, further noted that it is important the voters exercise their civic duties in their local elections, as it is as important as voting in the presidential election.
She thereafter assured the voters that Lee was on a mission to change the community.
Ahead of Election Day, Jason also reflected on these last couple of months, saying, “The journey as a candidate has reminded me of one thing: Stockton, you’re incredible. With only one day left, let’s bring it home. We are just hours away from creating the chance we need to fix this community. The hard work will soon begin. The wait for change is almost over. I’m excited and ready.”
